Active Motion Physiotherapy, located in Birmingham, was founded by Artemios (Art) Lazaridis, a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 13 years of experience. Art has worked across various settings, including NHS primary care, private hospitals, physiotherapy clinics, and the Birmingham City Football Club Academy. As a Lead First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) in the NHS, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every patient he treats. Our clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatments for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, helping you move better and live pain-free.

Artemios (Art) Lazaridis is an Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 13 years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions. His extensive background spans NHS primary care, private hospitals, physiotherapy clinics, and elite sports environments, including his work with Birmingham City Football Club Academy.

 

Art holds multiple postgraduate qualifications, reflecting his dedication to professional development and advanced physiotherapy practice:

 

Master’s Degree in Advanced Physiotherapy Practice (2014) – Coventry University, providing in-depth expertise in physiotherapy assessment and treatment.

 

Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy (2019) – University of Birmingham, enabling registration with the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).

 

Injection Therapy Training (2022) and Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (2024) – Expanding his scope of practice to offer advanced treatment options, including joint and soft tissue injections.

 

With a patient-centred approach, Art specialises in manual therapy, rehabilitation, pain management, and sports injury recovery, combining hands-on techniques with the latest evidence-based practices.
